Daegu Midtown Hostel

Great location! Right in the charming old neighborhood that was formerly the Medicine Market, which provided medicine to all parts of Korea and beyond. Now the area is full of stores and restaurants. The owners, a husband and wife (you can call her "J") team, both speak excellent English, and J was amazingly helpful and patient with tourist advice. Everything is very organized, and there's a nice kitchen area with fridge, microwave, kettle and several tables and chairs. In the room there is also a small fridge and a floor fan, which was nice to have as an alternative to the a/c.

- Clean, quite comfortable. - A compartment under the bed for your valuables, which has good space, - Polite and courteous owner, who let me leave my luggage for over 24 hours (I was coming back to the hostel again for a second stay a day later). - Great location in the heart of Daegu where all the fun happens, and where the special vibe and character of the city is at its brightest and most interesting. - Despite the central location (with bars not far away), it still doesn't get too noisy at the hostel. - Quite close to a metro station and to bus stops. - Close to a tourist info centre, to some churches of historical importance for Daegu, and more.

The property is centrally located and walking distance from 2 subway exits. It is near the traditional Starbucks and Hyundai Daegu and sits amidst restaurants, stores and other Daegu historical landmarks. Most importantly, the owner/staff were very helpful and hospital and always ready to help. As i joined the Daegu Marathon he allowed me to use the shower facilities even beyond checkout hours The property is well maintained, very clean and always manned by staff who are willing to assist. It sits amidst the beauty that Daegu has to offer.

Location is great = central, 5min walk to public transport buses and subways, within main shopping district and museums, lots of place to eat as well. Hostel provides everything you need for a good stay = bed, TV but only Korean channels? super tiny bathroom with toilet, hairdryer. The reception area has a kitchen and dining area with toaster, microwave, kettle, fridge etc = I got hot water here.
